This program equips individuals to be mental health advocates by teaching the following action steps: awareness (recognize signs and symptoms of mental distress), Interaction (engage effectively with individuals experiencing distress), and direction (connect individuals to appropriate mental health resources).

What is A.I.D.? A.I.D. (Awareness, Interaction, Direction) is a 60 minute mental health awareness training developed by Kent State University's Center for Public Policy and Health.

Key Components:
• An introduction to general mental health terminology
• Discussions on how to reduce stigma surrounding mental health
• An overview of local and national mental health resources.
• Practice scenarios to apply the A.I.D. action steps
Registration is required.
