Event Description

Join us for an afternoon of paper quilling and learn the importance of proper recycling and where to do it with our friends from the Lake County Solid Waste Management District.

Paper Quilling is a craft which uses long, thin strips of paper to create filigree, which can be incorporated into collages or stand alone in stationary art pieces or cards. Educators will guide participants into making several basic shapes and starting a new project. All materials, including recycled paper, will be provided.

There are many nuances to recycling household materials properly. Educators will discuss the importance of proper recycling and where to do it before focusing on each commonly recycled material. Household hazardous waste will also be addressed. Become a recycling superstar and spread the word to your friends, family, and folks!
