Event Description

Writer and radio historian, Steve Darnall, will present this special program that examines how radio responded to the new challenges of the tv age. Change was in the air and on the air as a new generation took to the airwaves and a new type of music entered the cultural lexicon.

Explore how radio went from its Golden Age to its new age, which featured the voices of Paul Harvey, Alan Freed, Bob and Ray and Stan Freberg.
