Linda Dunn, member of Temple Beth-El in Munster, will shed light on the history of these Jewish communities.
Linda's discussion includes the founding of its first synagogues and the lasting mark made by its Jewish-owned businesses and community leaders. Jewish artifacts and traditions will also be discussed.
Linda Dunn has been a member of Temple Beth-El, a Reform Jewish congregation in Munster, Indiana, since 1976. She has served on the synagogue’s Board of Trustees since the early 1990’s and has held the office of President for three 2-year terms. For the past several years she has chaired the Ritual Committee (she will explain what this entails, if you’re interested), is responsible for managing for the Temple’s Bertha and Dan Rabin Library, leads a bi-monthly book discussion, and sings with the Temple choir.
Linda retired as Manager of the Munster Branch Library in August, 2015, just short of her 39th anniversary with the Lake County Public Library.
